With your presentation open, go to the ribbon, and select Slide Show, then the Record Slide Show drop-down menu. Now select where youd like to record from From Beginning or From Current Slide. Ill select From Beginning. Before you record, make sure you have the correct microphone input selected under Settings, so you dont have to re-do your recordings. If I click it, I can see I have the correct microphone input selected, so Im ready to record. To begin recording, select Record, then start speaking. Today were going to learn about the Hubble Space Telescope. Now Ill move two slides ahead by clicking the Right Arrow twice. If you have animations or transitions, make sure to let them finish before continuing, since audio during the transitions will not be recorded. Go to the QuickTime Player application; choose File/New Screen Recording. Choose if you want to record all your screen, or a portion of your screen (highlighted in red below), then click on the Record button. Click on the Options menu. Choose the appropriate audio source, in this case Loopback Audio.

Try it! Open the slide that you want to put the screen recording on. On the Insert tab of the ribbon, select Screen Recording. On the Control Dock, choose Select Area (or if you want to select the entire screen for recording, press Windows logo key+Shift+F). Select Record. Your video is added to the slide.
After youve opened PowerPoint, select Recording from the top navigation bar. This will open a new navigation bar with the options of Record Slide Show and Screen Recording. If you just want to record your slideshow without added audio or video, you would select Record Slide Show.
Record a presentation. Open the presentation, then click to select the first slide in the slide navigator. Choose Play Record Slideshow (from the Play menu at the top of your screen). The presenter display appears with recording controls visible at the bottom of your screen.
