Hi. This is Marty from Blue Lightning TV. Im going to show you a quick method to create stunning, custom text portraits. Well be using whats called a word cloud to create our text. There are many word cloud websites and I included nine of them in the videos description below. The one that I preferred the most is WordArt, so I ll be using that in this video, however, feel free to use any word cloud generator you want. Open a focused, high resolution photo of a face. I downloaded this one from Shutterstock. The effect will look best if there are some shadows on one side. We want the background behind our subject to be black. If it isnt black, well make a selection around our subject, so we can separate it from its background. There are many ways to do this, however, in most cases, I like to use the Quick Selection Tool. To make Google Slides vertical, go to the File menu and scroll down to Page Setup. This will open a menu where you can choose between Standard 4:3, Widescreen 16:9 or 16:10, and Custom orientation. The menu also provides options to change the layout by inches, centimeters, points, and pixels.
Click the Design tab of the toolbar ribbon, and then, near the right end, click Slide Size. On the Slide Size menu that appears, select Custom Slide Size. The Slide Size dialog box opens. In the Slide Size dialog box, select Portrait, and then select OK.
