okay so lets start this 4:00 p.m. session devoted to morphogenesis this is our first speaker is Philippe my knee so Im going to describe his biography briefly so our speaker received as BA in maths in Oxford and then became a junior research fellow at Wolfson College and went for one in the US and returned back to the Center for mathematical biology where I became a professor and the director isnt it it is an editor of many journals and hes an editor-in-chief of the ball team of mathematical biology is an elected member of many society including the Society for mathematical biology and the Society for mathematical and theoretical biology so his research projects include the modeling of tumors the modeling of healing and a number of applications of mathematical modeling and pattern formation during early development and obviously also not just modeling but the theoretical analysis of the said models that arise in these applications he has over 300 publications in the field and has
