Create a presentation in Outline view On the View tab, in the Presentation Views group, click Outline. In the slide thumbnail pane, place the pointer, and then either paste your content or begin typing text. The first text you type will be a title, indicated by boldface type. Press ENTER when youve completed the title.
You may also have heard of the 10-20-30 rule. Created by former Apple brand ambassador Guy Kawasaki, the 10-20-30 rule states that a PowerPoint presentation should have no more than 10 slides, never last longer than 20 minutes, and should use a minimum point size of 30 for the font.
In a new PowerPoint presentation file, click the first slide. Or, in an existing presentation file, click the slide that you want the outline to appear after. On the Home tab, click the arrow next to New Slide, and then click Outline.
On the Format tab, select Shape Outline, and choose the color you want for the border. Select Shape Outline again. Use the Weight and Dashes options near the bottom of the menu to select the line thickness and style you want for your border. Drag the handles on the shape to size and position the border on the slide.
Add borders Select an image, shape, or graph and click Border color . Choose a color for the border. (Optional) Click Line weight. to adjust the border thickness. (Optional) Click Line dash. to change the border type. (Optional) To remove a border, click Border color. and select Transparent.

Click Shape Format, and then click the arrow next to Shape Outline. Either click the color that you want, or mix your own color by clicking More Outline Colors. Point to Weight, and then choose the line weight that you want.
To put a border around the text box or other elements in your Google Slides presentation: Step 1: Click on the text box or the element. Step 2: Press the Border color button on the toolbar for a hint of color! Step 3: Select your border color.
Create a text box outline You can create a text box outline to further highlight your selected text. Click on the text box you want to define and locate the Insert tab. Click on a shape to place around your text to create the outline. You can fill the shape with another color or choose No Fill.
A presentation outline is a bare-bones version of your talk. It should take the general direction of your pitch, plus summaries of your key points. Its purpose is to help you shape your thinking, organize your thoughts, and make sure your material is presented logically.
