[Music] so a settlement agreement is basically a contract between an employer and an employee normally on termination of employment um that basically sets out the terms and conditions on which an employes employment is going to end um and normally therell be a payment from the employer to compensate the employee for uh leaving employment well theres no obligation um at all to accept it um what I would normally say is thats the point at which you start getting into negotiations about the terms on which you are prepared to leave um the people who come to see me the employees who come to see me um may have done that negotiation themselves before they walk through my door or may um say no Im not happy with the deal I want you to take over negotiations um but theres no obligation to accept a settlement agreement um if a settl AG isnt accepted then whatever process was being followed before the the offer of the settlement agreement was made will be the process which is uh resumed
