To number only certain slides: On your computer, open a presentation in Google Slides. Select the slide or slides that you want numbered. In the menu at the top, click Insert. Slide numbers. Click Apply to selected.
Add page numbers to slides and notes On the Insert tab, click Header & Footer . In the Header and Footer box, on the Slide tab, select the Slide number check box, and then in the Starts at box, type the page number that you want to start with on the first slide. Click Apply to All.
On the Design tab, in the Customize group, click Slide Size, and then click Custom Slide Size. In the Slide Size dialog box, in the Number slides from box, enter the number that you want to show on the first slide in your presentation, and then click OK.
If someone in the audience wants you to go back to a certain slide, they don't say “Could you please go back to slide 45?” They say “Could you please go back to that statistical analysis slide?” Slide numbers don't help your audience to navigate through your deck. Slide numbers are space hogs, pointless, and unhelpful.
Follow the 5/5/5 rule Some experts suggest using the 5/5/5 rule: no more than five words per line of text, five lines of text per slide, or five text-heavy slides in a row.
under Customize, click a symbol, and then click OK. You can apply the symbol to your slides from the style lists. To change a numbered list to start at a certain number, on the Numbering tab, type the number in the Start at box. To change the color or size of bullets or numbers, choose an option under Color or Size.
Answer: never. Since PowerPoint is primarily a visual, on-screen medium, calling attention to the passage of time by including sequential slide numbering is pointless. To the audience, PowerPoint presentations are measured in the length of time it takes to deliver them, not the number of slides they contain.
On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Slide Number. In the Header and Footer dialog box, click the Slide tab. Do one of the following: To number the slide that you have selected, select the Slide number check box, and then click Apply.
Insert or remove slide numbers Go to View > Normal. Go to Insert > Slide Number. Select Slide Number and enter the starting slide number. Preview shows the location. To add or remove the slide number from just the title page, clear or select Don't show on title slide. Select Apply to all or Apply.
Double-click the numbers in the list. The text will not appear selected. Right-click the number you want to start a new list. Click Restart at 1.
