hi Im Rob cheerio and this is a PowerPoint tech tip one of the questions I often get asked by staff is how do I convert my PowerPoint slides into note pages that I can share with my students on a learning management system so you can do that in powerpoints really easy to do Im going to show you how and I convert them into PDF files I convert them into PDF because theyre small files and theyre compatible with a learning management system you can convert them straight into a word but and and save them as a Word document but they tend to be large files and Ill explain why in a second so in PowerPoint youve got your slide presentation you go to file on the left hand side here so Im working with PowerPoint 2010 this will work with older version as well and you go to save and send and then just to the right of there on the bottom youll see an icon says create handouts click on that and then over here itll say click on handouts click on that again and then we get some options so the

Exporting without Speaker Notes, One Slide per Page Click File Save As. Select the PDF option from the drop-down menu. Then enter a name for the file and click Save.

Print slides with speaker notes On the File menu select Print. Select Show Details at the bottom of the dialog box. In the Layout box, select Notes. Set the other printing options you want, and select Print.
To add notes to your slides, do the following: On the View menu, click Normal. Select the thumbnail of the slide you want to add notes to. The notes pane will appear beneath your slide. Click where it says Click to add notes and type whatever notes youd like to add. To hide the notes pane, click the Notes button.
Present PDF Under the View tab, click Full Screen Mode. This will start the presentation. In order to end the presentation before its finished, press Esc.
When you convert a PPT file to PDF format, only the slides will be exported. If you also want to include the extensive notes that youve added onto each slide, then youd need to Print the PPT file as a PDF. This way, all your added notes will be included below each corresponding slide.
If the speaker notes section needs to be included when uploading into PromoMats, the file needs to be converted into a PDF so that the speaker notes can also be displayed. While in PowerPoint, select File and then Print. Under the Slides section of the Print settings, select Notes Pages.
Heres how to print notes in PowerPoint on a PC: Open the presentation that contains the speaker notes you want to print. Click File in the top left corner. Click Print in the sidebar menu that appears.
How To Save Powerpoint as PDF With Notes Included Open your PowerPoint presentation. Click File, then Print. Go to the Show Details section. Choose Notes from the Layout dropdown. Choose Save as PDF from the PDF dropdown, and click Save.
Click File Print. Under Settings, click the second box (which defaults to say Full Page Slides), then under Print Layout, click Notes Pages. Notes Pages prints one slide per page, with speaker notes below. The Preview Pane shows you what each layout option looks like.
