hey guys in this video Im going to show you how to make a medieval movie title slide using a grungy background in a stone text effect in Photoshop lets get started so the first thing that were going to need is a subtle black and white texture for our background the one that were using is available in the project files so the first thing that we want to do is come down here and create a new solid color fill layer and we want that color to use the hex code BCA b85 and hit OK and then Im just going to change the opacity for that layer to 35% next Im going to come create a curves adjustment layer and Im going to drag the middle of this curve down into the right a bit to darken my image and then in my layer mask for my curves adjustment Im going to use the soft black brush and Im going to paint in that layer mask so the curve adjustment only affects the outer edges of my image and thats just going to give us a nice subtle vignette which you can see if I turn this on and off next
