your companys logo is a great way to brand your PowerPoint slides when you want to add it to a presentation theres a far better way to do it than to add it to each and every slide to add the logo to my presentation the best way to do it is to jump over to the View tab and then choose slide master when we edit the slide master were editing the settings that control the overall layout and style of the slide that were working on this controls multiple slides designs at the same time Ill paste in the logo and position it here on the slide master I can resize it and place it just as we do with a normal slide but were updating multiple slide designs at the same time any slide that uses this master will have the logo added to it lets go ahead and switch back to normal view youll notice now that multiple slides now have the logo added to them the advantage of doing it this way is easy to see as not only can we adjust multiple slides quickly but the logo is placed consistently in the s

XPS involves the bombardment of a sample surface with X-rays and measurement of the intensity of photoelectrons and Auger electrons emitted from that surface as a function of their energy. As a technique, XPS can in principle provide not just elemental analysis but also chemical information.
Quantitative XPS is the process of comparing two or more intensities in XPS spectra to determine the amount of material at the surface of a sample. These intensities may be from the same peak or different peaks in the same spectrum or the same set of peaks in different spectra.
How to interpret the data it generates Peaks from the XPS spectra give relative number of electrons with a specific binding energy. The shorter the peak, the less electrons represented. The greater the binding energy, the greater the attraction of that electron to the nucleus.
XPS can measure elemental composition as well as the chemical and electronic state of the atoms within a material. XPS spectra are obtained by irradiating a solid surface with a beam of X-rays and measuring the kinetic energy of electrons that are emitted from the top 1-10 nm of the material.
XPS is used to provide information about the elemental composition of the coatings. The XPS spectrometer is used to obtain a survey spectrum, from which the elements present can be determined. Individual spectral peaks are then examined at higher energy resolution to give information on chemical state.
The primary difference between EDS-SEM and Micro-XRF-SEM is the excitation method. EDS-SEM uses electrons to excite the sample, while Micro-XRF-SEM uses X-rays. In both methods, characteristic X-rays are generated by the elements in the sample which are then collected and analyzed by the EDS detector.
How to Analyze XPS Spectra Data The X-Axis: Peak Position. The Y-Axis: Peak Intensity. Overlapping Peaks. More than One Elemental Peak. Analysis of Haze on a Polyimide Substrate. Passivation Integrity of Stainless Steel.
How to interpret the data it generates Peaks from the XPS spectra give relative number of electrons with a specific binding energy. The shorter the peak, the less electrons represented. The greater the binding energy, the greater the attraction of that electron to the nucleus.
In XPS, the atoms of the samples surface absorb X-rays and emit electrons, but in XRF the atoms of the sample both absorb and emit X-rays.
How XPS works. X-rays (photons) are shot onto a sample, and when electrons in the sample absorb enough energy, they are ejected from the sample with a certain kinetic energy. The energy of those ejected electrons is analyzed by a detector and a plot of these energies and relative numbers of electrons is produced.
