when you plot multiple series in a chart the labels can end up overlapping other data which is less than ideal now we can avoid this with custom chart label positions assigned to ghost series it sounds scary but its dead easy okay well that was to punch in one sentence anyhow lets take a look first I need to delete these labels because theyre assigned to the actual series Im selecting them and press the Delete key now all I need to do is add a column to my table or the labels and we want to find the maximum of the target and the actual now because my chart is linked to this table it automatically included this new series so that saves me a step Im going to select this new series and add labels but I want to click on the arrow and go down to more options I want to deselect show leader lines and value and I want to select a value from cells now when I check this it opens a dialog box asking me to select the data range so I want the labels for the actual series so Im going to selec
