The slides contain the information you want to communicate with your audience. This information can include text, pictures, charts, video, and sound. Before you begin adding information to slides, youll need to know the basics of working with slides.
Inserting a document Click or tap where you want to insert the content of the existing document. Go to Insert and select the arrow next to Object . Select Text from File. Locate the file that you want and then double-click it. To add in the contents of additional Word documents, repeat the above steps as needed.

In PowerPoint for the web you can use the Selection pane to show or hide items on the slide or to reorder them. To open the Selection Pane select the Arrange button on the Home tab of the ribbon and then Selection Pane. The objects are listed in the pane in visual stacking ordertop-to-bottom.
