Add page numbers to slides and notes On the Insert tab, click Header Footer . In the Header and Footer box, on the Slide tab, select the Slide number check box, and then in the Starts at box, type the page number that you want to start with on the first slide. Click Apply to All.
Change the starting slide number On the Design tab, in the Customize group, click Slide Size, and then click Custom Slide Size. In the Slide Size dialog box, in the Number slides from box, enter the number that you want to show on the first slide in your presentation, and then click OK.
Answer: Slide number is always displayed on status bar. It displays current slide number alongwith number of total slides in the presentation.
On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Text Box, and then drag to draw the text box on the slide master where you want the slide number to appear all slides. With the cursor still in the text box, on the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Slide Number.
To learn the ID of your slide, look at the URL. The slide ID is located right after the slideid parameter.

Add slide numbers to your presentation On the Insert tab, select Slide Number. On the Slide tab, check the Slide number box. If you dont want a number to appear on the title slide, also check the Dont show on title slide box. Select Apply to All.
Right-click the current slide and select See All Slides. The screen switches to a thumbnail list of all the slides in the presentation.
