welcome to digital presentation topic 1.3.2 footers and headers so when were adding headers and footers to text documents we have that insert option in spreadsheets we only have it on the printed pages on google slides or some other slideshow we have two options neither which appear in the menus as header and footer what we really do is insert a text box and we can draw that text box however we want it so if we want a footer we can make it a footer and then we could format the text inside that box to smaller fonts so now we have a footer in our box down here if we wish to have a header we can insert a text box again we have this icon here that doubles as a way to add them and then what we have is the header and we can do all our normal formatting options in there that will only add that header or footer to that one slide if we wish to add that header or footer to all slides well then we would have to put a text box here that says header on all and im actually just going to move it i

Recheck the Slide Master to make sure there is a footer placeholder on it. If its missing, click on Slide MasterFooters to make it reappear. Check each Slide Layout to make sure each one has a footer placeholder. For any Layout missing the Footer, click on Slide MasterFooters even if its already checked.
Slide Master can save slide layouts, including the background, color, fonts, effects, positioning, etc. One benefit to using Slide Master is that you can make universal changes to every current and future slide within your presentation by only adjusting the Slide Master.
Every PowerPoint presentation contains a slide master with related slide layouts and a theme. You can customize the slide master and the related layouts to make them work with the text and other objects that you want to put on your slides. On the View tab, click Slide Master.
Click INSERT Header Footer. On the Slide tab, check Footer. In the box below Footer, type the text that you want, such as the presentation title.
Click the View tab; Go to Master View group; Go on to click the Slide Master button. The PowerPoint 2007/2010/2013/2016/2019 interface will change as we description above, click to view it.
Add footer text On the Insert tab, click Header Footer . In the Header and Footer box, on the Slide tab, select the Footer check box, and then type the footer text that you want. Click Apply to All.
When we talk about headers and footers in a presentation, we mean the small details near the top or bottom of your slides. These include the slide number, a text footer, and the date. Headers and footers appear in various positions, depending on the theme and the slide layout.
In the top action bar the Master Layout icon will be active, click on it and in the appearing window check all the options. Then select the master layouts where you want the footer/header to appear and check the slide footer and header options that appear in the top action bar.
To access the master slides in Google Slides, you just need to click Slide Edit master. By default, Google Slides will select the layout master that is being used in the slide you were last in. On the left side of the screen, youll see the list of master slides.
Change the slide master Select View Slide Master. Make the text, color, and alignment changes you want. If you want to use a predefined theme, select that first by clicking Themes on the Slide Master tab. When youre done, select Close Master View.
