hi in this video well be looking for headers and footers in PowerPoint slides lets see that if you if you want to know what you call add some header or footer to a slide how do we add it very simple method you can just go to the insert tab right in the insert tab on the right-hand side if you see in the text group you have this header and footer so once you click on that youll get a dialog box headers and footers it will give you two tabs one is the slide tab and second is notes and handouts so if you want to add some footer to your slide you just select on this place so in this video well be only focusing on slides now there are four checkboxes given here lets see the very first check box it says date and time and it gives you radio buttons also update automatically now once you select this date and time you can get this different data formats if I select here lets say this date and time right this date and time it will update automatically so this time is right now 12 49 59 or

Show footer information on your slides Click INSERT Header Footer. On the Slide tab, check Footer. In the box below Footer, type the text that you want, such as the presentation title.
Headers and footers generally contain document information, such as the file name, author, date created, page numbering and the like. This information is repeated on each page and thus enables the reader to easily navigate the document.
If youve added footer information (such as slide numbers or the date) to your slides but they still dont appear, the likely problem is that footers are currently turned off in Slide Master view.
In the top action bar the Master Layout icon will be active, click on it and in the appearing window check all the options. Then select the master layouts where you want the footer/header to appear and check the slide footer and header options that appear in the top action bar.
Click the Insert tab, and click Header Footer. This displays the worksheet in Page Layout view. The Header Footer Tools Design tab appears, and by default, the cursor is in the center section of the header.
You can add standard footer elements that will appear on all the slides in your presentation. For example, you can add the date and time, the name of the presentation, or the page number. Note: PowerPoint doesnt support headers on slides. However, you can add both a header and footer to your handouts.
