hi in this video well be looking for headers and footers in PowerPoint slides lets see that if you if you want to know what you call add some header or footer to a slide how do we add it very simple method you can just go to the insert tab right in the insert tab on the right-hand side if you see in the text group you have this header and footer so once you click on that youll get a dialog box headers and footers it will give you two tabs one is the slide tab and second is notes and handouts so if you want to add some footer to your slide you just select on this place so in this video well be only focusing on slides now there are four checkboxes given here lets see the very first check box it says date and time and it gives you radio buttons also update automatically now once you select this date and time you can get this different data formats if I select here lets say this date and time right this date and time it will update automatically so this time is right now 12 49 59 or

To insert a footer or header to an individual slide, go to Insert Text box. Drag the box over the area you want the footer or header text to show. Enter text and adjust the font, color, and style ing to need.
Add footer text On the Insert tab, click Header Footer . In the Header and Footer box, on the Slide tab, select the Footer check box, and then type the footer text that you want. Click Apply to All.
When we talk about headers and footers in a presentation, we mean the small details near the top or bottom of your slides. These include the slide number, a text footer, and the date. Headers and footers appear in various positions, depending on the theme and the slide layout.
Show footer information on your slides Click INSERT Header Footer. On the Slide tab, check Footer. In the box below Footer, type the text that you want, such as the presentation title. Check Date and time to add that to your slides.
Recheck the Slide Master to make sure there is a footer placeholder on it. If its missing, click on Slide MasterFooters to make it reappear. Check each Slide Layout to make sure each one has a footer placeholder. For any Layout missing the Footer, click on Slide MasterFooters even if its already checked.
Footnotes are notes or annotations placed at the bottom of a slide or document, used to reference parts of the main text (generally using superscript numbers). For example, footnotes can be used to acknowledge a source reference material or author.
If the footer box is unticking itself the usual cause is the footer placeholder has been deleted on the master or custom layout. If its not on the custom layout then select the layout and in the ribbon choose the Slide Master Tab and make sure footer is checked.
