[Music] [Applause] [Music] hello and thanks for joining me well uh if youve been following my channel for any length of time uh youve probably seen my direct mount cut off tool holder and this worked really well for me but i designed and used it on my logan lathe and when i tried to do it on my south bend i had a hard time getting it to work and i think some of it was wearing my cross sliding compound but by critically adjusting my cross sliding compound i was able to make it work but i did a little trick made adjusting that the slides a lot a lot easier let me show you what im talking about heres the original screw its a they call it a cone point screw sort of just your slides with it had a lock down a screwdriver slot there and every time i went to lock it down id get the setting just right and when i locked it down it would change the setting im sure anybody thats ever messed with them has experienced the same thing its you can achieve a good setting but its really diffic
