How does annual leave accrue? As a full-time or part-time employee, you get at least 4 weeks of annual leave, based on ordinary hours of work. This means a full time employee would accrue approximately 2.93 hours of annual leave per week.
Examples. Heres some common examples of hours of annual leave converted into days. 90 hours annual leave is 11.25 days assuming 8 hour work days. 100 hours annual leave is 12.5 days assuming 8 hour work days.

Use or Lose Annual Leave Most employees can carry a maximum of 240 hours of annual leave from one leave year to the next. Use or lose annual leave is the accrued annual leave above the maximum carry over amount.
