hello YouTube today Im going to be making another slide rule video and this time were going to look at trig scales and log log scales and how to use them so for this video Im going to be mainly using the picket n4t and this is a vector type log log dual base speed rule as you can see right here this is a pretty Advanced slide rule its got 34 scales on it and as such will be able to do pretty much everything that youd need to do on a slide roll the only thing it doesnt have as you can see here on the bottom here is a sliding A and B scale just simply does not have that sort of function so uh but as you can see its got quite a number of scales here and this is the front side and this is the uh back of the rule pretty involved but were going to cover all these scales and Im going to show you how they work so the first trigonometric function were going to be covering is the sign function and the way a slide rule is and the way that the sign function is based on the angle that you
