In this video, were going to look at how you can enable Quotes for your organization, add the quotes related list to a page layout, and how to customize a Quote template. First we need to make sure Quotes are enabled in our Salesforce Classic org. Were going to use the Quick Find box to locate Quotes. Select Quotes Settings And click Enable and Save. Once weve enabled Quotes we want to make sure that the Quotes related list is available to our users on any of the page layouts they use. This org has 2 custom page layouts: One for business to business opportunities, and one for business to consumer deals. Theres also the generic opportunity layout that is provided by Salesforce If you have multiple opportunity page layouts, you should add them to each layout, so your salespeople can create quotes on any type of opportunity. Once you click the New Template button, you will see you can create four different types of email templates. Text. HTML (using Classic Letterhead) Custom (without Classic Letterhead) Visualforce.
Save a document as a template Open the Word document that you want to save as a template. On the File menu, click Save as Template. In the Save As box, type the name that you want to use for the new template. (Optional) In the Where box, choose a location where the template will be saved.
View or Modify a Template From the content library, select the template you want to modify. To edit the template, click Edit and drag blocks. To change existing content areas, hover over the content area, click down arrow, and select Edit. When finished editing the template, click Save.
Note: Proposal settings must be configured in our application in order to generate proposals from Salesforce. From the Opportunities page, click Create Proposal. Once you are taken to the Responsive Projects page in Salesforce, specify the required details and select a template. Click Generate Proposal.
To find templates in Quip, use the Template Library. There, your users can find the templates they created and shared in private galleries, like the Created by Me and Shared with Me galleries, or they can get started with sample templates.
Create Templates Click Create. Hover over Template. Select a template type. When creating from an existing template, select the template to start creating from and click Select. Save the template. Complete required fields. Add content to the email. Save the email.
