[Music] today im going to talk to you a little bit about closed captioning in your slide videos so in this project that im working on i need to add the closed captioning which has been provided to me by the client into the actual video thats been added to this slide here this is a feature that needs to be updated by docHub its definitely kind of old-fashioned when you consider the fact that today i can upload a video to youtube and have it automatically transcribe it for closed captioning without having to worry about you know much of anything other than maybe correcting my punctuation and spelling unfortunately this is a very manual process and im going to share some hints and tips with you because i found this to be difficult to begin with and ill show you a couple things you can do to make it a little bit easier so you can see here ive selected the video which is on my slide right here ive got it on a black background so the video kind of just blends into that background and

In XPS instruments, X-rays are generated by bombarding a metallic anode with high-energy electrons. The energy of the emitted X-rays depends on the anode material and beam intensity depends on the electron current striking the anode and its energy.
It is a quantitative spectroscopic technique which utilises core level shift to obtain information on the chemical and electronic state of a sample's elemental components to a penetration depth of ~ 10-100 Å.
XPS instruments have the following components: Ultrahigh vacuum system; typically operating conditions are at <10-9 Torr. ... X-ray source; Al Kα of Mgα X-rays are typically used to excite the sample; a monochrometer is used to permit only X-rays of this fixed energy to impinge on the sample.
XPS requires high vacuum (residual gas pressure p ~ 10−6 Pa) or ultra-high vacuum (p < 10−7 Pa) conditions, although a current area of development is ambient-pressure XPS, in which samples are analyzed at pressures of a few tens of millibar.
In XPS, X-rays are sent to the sample and ejected electrons from sample are detected. In EDX, the electrons are sent to the sample and generated X-ray photons from sample are detected.
The binding energies of the numerous photoelectrons emitted from a surface sample are used as a "fingerprint" to identify elements present. Chemical shifts in XPS spectra are observed when an element enters a different bound state, which results in changes in the binding energy of core electrons.
There is possibility of differentiating the peaks of XPS and the peaks of auger electrons. They both can be distinguished by using two different materials such as magnesium tube and aluminium tube.
Basically, two different x ray sources are used in xps to distinguish Auger peaks from photo electron peaks. An Auger peak represents the kinetic energy of an auger electron which changes with the energy of primary xrays.
The information XPS provides about surface layers or thin film structures is important for many industrial and research applications where surface or thin film composition plays a critical role in performance including: nanomaterials, photovoltaics, catalysis, corrosion, adhesion, electronic devices and packaging, ...
In XPS, the atoms of the sample's surface absorb X-rays and emit electrons, but in XRF the atoms of the sample both absorb and emit X-rays. In XRD, the atoms of the sample do not absorb X-rays at all, they just reflect them.
