Standard slides have a 4:3 aspect ratio whereas Widescreen slides sport a 16:9 aspect ratio.
In PowerPoint, select the slide that you want to add the file to, and then select Insert Object. In the Insert Object box, select Create from file, and then enter the PDF file location; or, click Browse, find the PDF file, and then select OK.
Widescreen (16:9) slides have a size of 13.33 x 7.5 inches or 33.867 x 19.05 cm. Notes: The Widescreen slide size: Matches screen resolution such as: 1366 x 768.
Standard (4:3) slides have a size of 10 x 7.5 inches or 25.4 x 19.05 cm. Widescreen (16:9) is the default slide size in Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 and 2016. Widescreen (16:9) slides have a size of 13.33 x 7.5 inches or 33.867 x 19.05 cm.
