talking about Shadows is super important for graffiti because Shadows is in my opinion the thing that makes graffiti pieces really come alive you have basically two different versions of Shadows you have the 3D Shadow and then you have the drop down Shadow Iamp;#39;ll show you in a minute what I mean by this and of course when we docHub in episode 10 3D graffiti then we can look at shadows in another way but for now we will just focus on these two simple Shadow types Shadows are what gives graffiti pieces depth like you can really see shadows as the thing that makes it come out of the walls so it looks like you can almost grab it with your hands and you are applying like itamp;#39;s most common that youamp;#39;re applying the drop down Shadow to throw ups and then the 3D Shadows to Pieces but Iamp;#39;ll show you some examples right here I suggest that there are two main Shadows that youamp;#39;re differentiating between there are drop down shadows and then there are 3D Shadows I w

Different kinds of shadows Add some shadow with a grey brush pen just on the down strokes of your lettering. Add your shadow with a grey brush pen all around your lettering. Add your shadow with a black brush pen. Add the shadows with a black monoline pen and stay close to your first letters.
Using the triplus color in grey, draw a second line to the left of every vertical stroke, to create a shadow. Fill in the spaces with dots using the pigment liner. Create a gradient from dark to light by putting lots of dots in the upper half of your letters and very few dots in the lower half.
4:39 14:41 Straight. Until it touches the edge right there. So its kind of making like a block letter rightMoreStraight. Until it touches the edge right there. So its kind of making like a block letter right here. And. If you want more tips on block. Letters.
Shadow 1: Add a Fine black line to your lettering The first way is to add a fine black line as the shadow. I like this way for how to add shadows to hand lettering. Especially since I do a lot of rainbow lettering, some colors dont stand out as much as other colors, making it hard to read.
Put your highlights near the edge of the letters, but not right against the outside. This will help give your brush lettering a light 3D effect and will make them look rounded, which is a very intriguing look. It helps to imagine where the light source would be, when placing the shadows and highlights.
Put shadows next to your letters on the opposite side of where the imaginary light source is positioned. Follow the shape of each letter. As you draw a shadow alongside a letter, follow its shape as smoothly as you can. Make shadows the same width as letters.
To ensure your hand lettered phrase has a symmetrical and harmonious look, sketch it out in advance with the pencil. Using the triplus color in black, create your first word (live) in simple block letters. Using the triplus color in grey, draw a second line to the left of every vertical stroke, to create a shadow.
9:11 10:12 And take a blank picture. And then start typing a word so Im writing the word shading. Here ImMoreAnd take a blank picture. And then start typing a word so Im writing the word shading. Here Im gonna put it in a grey color. And then Im gonna make it nice and big on the screen.
