hello my name is clay preston today im going to teach you about shading and highlighting within word alright first you can accompany hes got designed to and choose your color Im going to choose doing yellow because I like fixing then to shade or if your gonna go over top the word and up to this bucket you go to choose a color I prefer this one I like it looks good now shading it covers the entire line with highlighting if you come up to this and choose your word again go up to this little paintbrush up here choose it choose your color good choose any color you want to choose yellow and only highlights your word it does not highlight the entire line thank you for watching this video if you enjoyed leave a like and subscribe

Go to File|Options|AdvancedShow Document ContentField Shading and choose your preferred shading option; 3. Select a shaded field then go to Home|Paragraph|Shading and choose your preferred shading option.
To add a fill or effect, click your shape, click Format, click the arrow next to Shape Fill or Shape Effects, and select a color, gradient, texture, or effect.
Click Advanced. Under Show document content, in the Field shading list, do one of the following: To make fields stand out from the rest of the document content, select Always. To make fields blend in seamlessly with the document content, select Never.
Select the text with the gray highlight and click the arrow next to the Clear Formatting button in the Font section of the Home tab. Then, choose Clear All Formatting and the gray highlight will be gone. If these methods dont work, try changing your documents theme.
Method 1: Choose No Color for Shading To start with, select text in shading. Then click Shading in Paragraph group under Home tab. Next choose No Color. Then all shading is gone.
Your Word document might be gray because it is in Reading Layout View, Text Boundaries or Page Margins are enabled, or the Page Color has been set to gray.
Select the text that you want to remove highlighting from, or press Ctrl+A to select all of the text in the document. Go to Home and select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. Select No Color.
Create my own color theme On the Page Layout tab in Excel or the Design tab in Word, click Colors, and then click Customize Colors. Click the button next to the theme color you want to change (for example, Accent 1 or Hyperlink), and then pick a color under Theme Colors.
