In this tutorial, Clay Preston explains how to shade and highlight within Word. First, you can select a text to shade or highlight, choosing a color like yellow. To shade, cover the entire line with the selected color. To highlight, select the word and choose a color, like yellow. Highlighting only affects the selected word, not the entire line.
