thank you gary uh good evening everyone this is the may 13th meeting for the will williamson county chapter of native plant society of texas and uh were going to talk briefly about business and then move on to our program i thought tonight i would talk about cedar sage this is a great plant to start from seed so this has a winter rosette which is very nice always nice to have something evergreen in your garden and it does make a nice shade ground cover you can see the leaves are a little bit larger on this plant so itll do quite a bit of shade and this is uh just a few days ago this is an early spring bloomer blooms prolifically in the spring and then it has seeds for most of the summer with smattering of blooms but the seeds are great for the birds so always leave the seed heads on even though a lot of people would cut them off but you need to leave your seeds for the birds everyone now um its also uh gets its name cedar from ben grows underneath an ash juniper also very highly de
