as I look at this picture here of the Vita classic shade guide in the color space it makes me feel a lot better about the way I struggled to take shades over the years you can see b1 completely outside of the color space there on the upper left is its not a color that actually occurs in nature and then d4 is way out of the color space down there on the on the lower left and it looks like when you look at those two themes that you just took a handful of like fingernails and then threw them out like you were shooting craps and they just kind of randomly splay out there and if you compare that and contrast it with what you see when you take a look at the VD Vita 3d Master System look at that youve got equal spacing from left to right and equal spacing from top to bottom between those different shade families the one M 1 the 2 M 1 3 M 1 all of those shades are scientifically laid out within that color space the Vita classic shade system was based on prevalent denture 2 shades in Germany

During oxygen gas welding or cutting where the torch produces a high yellow light, it is desirable to use a filter lens that absorbs the yellow or sodium line in the visible light (spectrum) of the operation.

You must wear a welding helmet for all plasma arc welding operations. Only cutting applications with less than 20 amperes will allow for standard safety glasses with a filter 4- 5 to be used.

Generally speaking, the higher shade numbers ranging from 8 to 13 are designated for welding tasks, while the lower shades that allow more light to pass through are intended for other projects. Grinding is typically associated with DIN 3, while cutting can require a shade number of 5 to 8.
