so maybe Iamp;#39;m old school but I kind of think that stain and polyurethane should be in separate cans but Minwax has combined both of these products into one which by the way makes me wonder if you could just do this yourself might be a subject for another video but today as a skeptic Iamp;#39;m gonna put poly shades to the test the question Iamp;#39;m going to attempt to answer is a one-step stain and polyurethane just as good or better than the traditional stain and poly 2-step process so what I have here is test subject number one and test subject number two test subject number one I found in the alley itamp;#39;s a solid oak chair but itamp;#39;s quite beat-up it has scratches on it it has it has grease and grime so weamp;#39;re going to clean this up as best as possible weamp;#39;re not going to spend a lot of time on it because again poly shades is supposed to cover all that up so I chair number two what weamp;#39;re gonna do is just lightly scuff up the surfa

Histochemical stains These tests use different chemical dyes that are attracted to certain substances found in some types of cancer cells. For example, the mucicarmine stain is attracted to mucus. Droplets of mucus inside a cell that are exposed to this stain will look pink or red under a microscope.
For example, one of the most common stains, Hematoxylin, is a basic dye that stains proteins a blue color, while Eosin stains proteins a pink color. These two stains are commonly used together to define intracellular organelles and proteins.
Special stains for melanocytes Human melanoma black (HMB-45): HMB-45 is often diffusely positive in melanoma; zonal staining, in which there is diminished staining in deeper parts of the lesion, is more suggestive, but in no way diagnostic, of a naevus (figures 1, 2) HMB-45 is usually negative in desmoplastic melanoma.
Gram stain of tissue biopsy test involves using crystal violet stain to test a sample of tissue taken from a biopsy . The Gram stain method can be used on almost any specimen. It is an excellent technique for making a general, basic identification of the type of bacteria in the sample.
It is often recommended that stain is changed weekly, however, this is expensive when only small numbers of smears are regularly processed. We have found that about fifty slides can be stained before a noticeable deterioration in staining quality occurs.
Special stains can be used to aid in diagnosis and in the definition of specific cells, structures, and compounds. Please contact the laboratory if you have questions about the application of these stains in your projects. Hemotoxylin Eosin (H E) The most widely used stain in medical diagnosis.
