[Music] okay welcome back to sh sales canada tips we want to talk about measuring we always get asked about how do i measure can i measure from the ground we are making the sales that precise we need you to measure from the holes in your posts to the other hole in your post not from the ground so you can see here im measuring from the high point to the lower connection hole in this post if you already have your hardware in thats fine just indicate that on your order form but be sure that youre measuring from either post face to post face or whole where youre going to connect to or eye to eye where your hardware is okay so its important that youre not measuring just from the ground saying heres the measurement because this measurement diagonally is longer than straight across between the posts so thats why those measurements are essential measuring from post face to post face or eye to eye you can take that off on your order form its essential that you do that if in doubt ask

How to Measure for Shades and Blinds. If youve ever wondered what the standard size of window blinds is, the standard window length ranges from 36 to 72 inches, and the standard width ranges from 24 to 60 inches. However, window sizes and shapes can vary greatly, especially in older homes or homes with custom windows.
The shade should be twice as wide as the lamp base, and one third of the total height of the lamp. So for a 6-inch lamp base, the shade should be at least 12 inches wide. And if the total height of the lamp (including the bulb and harp) is 24 inches, the shade should be 8 inches tall.
A: The actual width of the 35 blinds are 34.5 (half inch narrower) to comfortably fit inside a 35 opening. So if your frame is exactly 34.5 inches, I would go with the 35 blinds.
1) Measure the width inside the window opening at the top, middle and bottom. Take the narrowest of the three width measurements, and round down to the nearest 1/8. 2) Measure the height inside the window opening from the top of the window opening to the window sill three times.
The shade should be twice as wide as the lamp base, and one third of the total height of the lamp. So for a 6-inch lamp base, the shade should be at least 12 inches wide. And if the total height of the lamp (including the bulb and harp) is 24 inches, the shade should be 8 inches tall.
Measure Lamp Base Measure the height from the lamp base to the top of the lightbulb socket. Measure the width of the base. If the lamp is round, measure across the widest part of the circumference for the width. Youll need these measurements for Step 8, so write them down.
Inside: Step 1: Measure the inside width at the top. Step 2: Measure the height at 3 places: left side, middle and right side. Step 3: Measure the depth at 3 places: left side, middle and right side. Note: Outdoor shade fabrics may be at least 1 3/8 narrower than your ordering width to allow for the mounting brackets.
For the 12 inch example a 10 inch shade is recommended. If you have a large diameter base then a 14 inch shade would be the one to go for. Any width of base in between, then a shade the same height as the measurement taken is required, in this case 12 inch.
Measure the width of the window at the top, middle and bottom and allow yourself an additional 3 either side, as well as the top and bottom (this is to allow an overlap). This will be your width measurement. Note this measurement down. And thats it measuring your window for a blackout blind is really that simple!
There are three golden rules to remember when it comes to choosing a lampshade for table lamps: The width of the lampshade should be equal to the height of the lamp base. The height of the lampshade should be two thirds of the height of the lamp base. The lampshade should be wider than the widest part of the lamp base.
