Use a rule to color-code emails In the Mail app on your Mac, choose Mail Settings, then click Rules. Click Add Rule. Choose whether any or all of the conditions have to be met. Click the conditions pop-up menu to set the conditions for color-coding.
It turns out that Mail font is not too small after all - it is just using a different unit of measurement - pixels, whereas anyone used to the Microsoft world and Outlook uses points. 12 points in Outlook equates to 16 pixels in Apple Mail. So if you use font size 12 in Apple it will be too small.
You can change the font size after writing an email by clicking just before the text and dragging the cursor to highlight all of it. Then open the formatting options in the email ribbon. Select the font size and apply it to the selected text.
In apps: In some apps, such as Mail, Messages, and News, you can press Command-Plus (+) or Command-Minus () to adjust the text size as you read emails, messages, and articles.
Show quoted text in colors. To change the colors used, click the color pop-up menu for a level, then choose a different color, or choose Other for additional choices. Quoted text is the part of a message included when youre replying or forwarding the message. Its typically indented.
Ctrl+[ (or ]) will increase (or decrease) the font in one point increments.
