To style the text within a table, you use the same CSS properties that you would use in styling any text. The thing to remember is that, you need to know which HTML element to apply the style against. For example, to change the text color across the whole table, use the color property against the tag.
You can add a box in HTML by using the tag, which creates a container for other HTML elements. Then, use CSS to style the box by applying different properties such as width, height, border, padding, margin, and more.
Add shading to a table Select the cells you want to change. To select an entire table, click in the table, and then click the. On the Table Design tab (Table tab in OneNote), click the Shading menu. Under Theme Colors or Standard Colors, select the shading color you want. Or, for more color options, click More Colors.
The background color of the table is given by the bgcolor=color attribute. When applied to the tag, the color fills the background. Cell background colors are set by applying the bgcolor attribute to a tag (to color the row) or to a tag (to color the cell).
Add or change the fill color of a table cell Select the cells in which you want to add or change the fill color. On the Table Design tab, click the arrow next to Shading. Click the color you want from Theme Colors or Standard Colors, or click More Fill Colors.

To change the background color of a single cell, use the attribute bgcolor=color inside the tag. To add a tiled background image to a single cell, use the attribute background=URL inside the tag.
