hey everybody in this video we are going to talk about how to shade a face so that it looks dimensional and realistic um im actually just going to use like your basic school pencil to do this shading because i want to show you that it is totally possible to create great art with limited materials so you know you dont need a million different pencils or tools you dont need anything fancy so im even gonna not use a blending stump im just gonna show you that really all you need to do well with this is controlling your pencil so lets get started i have my basic portrait just sketched out for me to save some time but usually what i like to do to get started is just try to find the areas of value and if youre looking at like a color photograph and youre not super well versed in it it might be helpful to turn your photograph into black and white so ive taken my photograph ive turned it black and white now i can see what areas are you know close to white what areas are kind of middle
