welcome back to the science by shy so today were going to be doing a print to cut tutorial and if you are familiar with print to cut then you know there is a difference between doing a light-colored shirt or a white shirt and then a dark colored shirt or a black shirt so were going to be using pin plus gear fabric transfer sheets and in this package you get 10 white or light transfer sheets and then five of the dark or black transfer sheets so I usually always buy this package because if you buy a regular package but this is Avery but if you buy a regular package separate it would still be fine with the dark sheets in one package and then the other package will be ten of the white sheets for the same price if you choose to buy this so we are using this this is my favorite favorite brand and this is what I use for every single print to cut shirt I do so were gonna go ahead and get right into the video okay so as usual were going to start with the blank canvas Im gonna go ahead and

So if youre designing anything to print you
If youre designing anything to print, you should be using the CMYK color space. This is going to ensure that your colors look accurate. While it may look a little bit dull on screen compared to an RGB equivalent, thats okay.
Placement: You should make sure that your designs arent too high, low, or uncentered on your shirt. This is why we suggest placing your design around 2.5-3 inches (6-7 centimeters) below the neckline. Print Size: Choose an appropriate size for your design that allows for easy visibility, and doesnt look awkward.
Youll need an inkjet printer, some transfer paper, and an iron. Get the right transfer paper. Transfer paper can be purchased at most stationery, craft, and office supply stores. Print your design. Cut out the image. Iron on the design. Let the shirt cool and carefully peel off the paper.
Both RGB and CMYK are modes for mixing color in graphic design. As a quick reference, the RGB color mode is best for digital work, while CMYK is used for print products.
CMYK works by subtracting light to create the colours you are seeing. CMYK always starts with a light, or white base. For example, when printing fabrics, we always start with a white fabric and apply the CMYK inks on top. CMYK should be used for printing media, such as paper, cards and fabrics.
CMYK Colour Mode CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) is the colour space for printed materials, so you should be using the CMYK colour profile for any design that will be physically printed.
