Overexposed Film. Overexposed film occurs when the negative is exposed to light for too long, resulting in dense and excessively brightfilm scans. When you examine your scanned images, you will notice that the highlights appear dull and gray.
Photographs of the overall scene, wreckage, area, and pertinent hardware should be made prior to any adjustments to the scene of the accident. They are helpful in determining what happened, as well as in providing illustrations for reports.
Sensor Size - Larger sensors capture more light, thus better photos. For smartphones, 1.0 type is the largest of all. Resolution - Higher Resolution means better details. eg, A 20MP sensor captures more detailed image than a 12MP sensor if all other specs are same. Lens - If.
4 Image Quality factors: 1) Density. 2) Contrast. 3) Detail. 4) Distortion.
Image quality is not a single factor but is a composite of at least five factors: contrast, blur, noise, artifacts, and distortion, as shown above. The relationships between image quality factors and imaging system variables are discussed in detail in later chapters.
Higher resolutions mean that there more pixels per inch (PPI), resulting in more pixel information and creating a high-quality, crisp image. Images with lower resolutions have fewer pixels, and if those few pixels are too large (usually when an image is stretched), they can become visible like the image below.
Sharpness, distortion, vignetting, Lateral Chromatic Aberration, noise, and dynamic range are the principal factors that can be measured at this stage. Most of these measurements can be clearly classified as good/bad.
