hereamp;#39;s how to draw a shaded ball in Photoshop start by choosing the elliptical marquee tool and hold the shift key as you drag to make an exactly circular selection make a new layer via copy from that selection and now switch to the burn tool making sure the range is set to highlights paint over the ball to change the color from white to a light gray and now paint on the side of the ball and on the bottom to add the shading building up the shadow as you go hold the option or Alt key to get the Dodge tool temporarily and paint a highlight now switch to the background and we can paint the shadow because the lights coming from the top left in front of the ball the shadow needs to be behind it and slightly to the right paint the shadow in small stages building it up as you go along because the balls in the white surface it needs to reflect that surface so switch back to the ball layer hold option are out to get the Dodge tool again and now paint a slight reflection of that surface

Select a brush style from the Brush drop-down menu. Brushes with a softer edge will create soft shadows, while a harder brush will create sharp shading. You can also adjust the brush opacity level to achieve very faint and soft shading.
Frequently asked questions. Open Photoshop and select the layer that needs the drop shadow. Click the FX icon at the bottom of the Layers panel. Select Drop Shadow. Customize your drop shadow by using the Layer Style dialog box. Select Structure and Quality effects for your shadow. Click the OK button to apply changes.
To do this, simply go to your adjustments panel and add a Hue/Saturation layer. Toggle the box that says Colorize and start adjusting the hue to the specific color you want. If your object is a lighter shade, you may need to adjust the lightness by making your selection darker to get the richness of color you want.
Open the Layers panel by going to Window Layers. Create two layers, one for your shadows and one for your highlights. (It doesnt matter which order you create them in.) On the shadows layer, youll be drawing in black.
