Hi. Welcome to Pyrography Made Easy. Im Brenda. In this episode Im going to show you pyrography shading techniques to create uniform color and gradient color. Im also going to give you some tips to get better pyrography results. So lets first start with the tips. Tip number 1 Make sure your board is ultra smooth. This picture shows a piece of plywood The left segment of the board is un-sanded. The middle has been sanded one time. But the right side has been sanded, misted it with water allowed to dry and then sand it again. This gave me a very smooth or even ultra smooth board to work on. Now I was able to produce fairly uniform color on the un-sanded board, but it felt stiff or resistive to the pen tip. When I started burning on the middle portion, I immediately felt a huge difference. The pen glides over the wood surface with ease and the burn looks smoother. With the ultra smooth section of the board, I again noticed an improvement with how well the pen glided over the wood s
