For the purpose of double-checking a child answer and scoring of the tasks, we might video record your child while doing the tasks. Confidentiality and privacy are taken very seriously in our lab. The video recording of your child will be saved under an anonymous code that only IRB certified and authorized personnel will know. The video will be stored on secure password protected hard drives. The collected information is considered to be extremely valuable given the paucity of research with ASL exposed children. After completion of the study, the video will be kept indefinitely.
