in this video were going to talk about hanging indents adding rules and adding something that is called paragraph shading so lets get started if you notice right here in this body of text we have a quote and of course this is just a placeholder text so it doesnt dont try to read it because it will definitely confuse you but we have this first paragraph it looks like its a quote so we have the quote here the open quote and we have the close quote now typically when we have layouts like this uh designers like to do what they call hang the quote hang the quote so that in this scenario im going to zoom in so you can see it alright so in this scenario what will happen is this quote will be outside of the actual margin if you will and then the u and the m would kind of align well heres how you do that so we just put our cursor and actually you just put your cursor anywhere in that paragraph youre going to go up to type drop down to it says story and at this point youre going to say
