happy Monday as you can tell Im not in my actual house Im in a hotel Toronto Airport if you watch yesterdays video you know that I did a brunch wedding and that kind of inspired todays video actually it wasnt supposed to be about this but I feel that this is really important and its how to deal with bad and not great lighting situations so as you can see out here its pretty golden hour its pretty nice this is Toronto Airport lets see some some airplanes out there very very good favorable conditions my favorite time of the wedding day to shoot usually but unfortunately during a brunch wedding youre pretty much shooting from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. which is kind of all the bad lighting parts of the day so Im gonna ready through just like a quick little sample here so this obviously not the best lighting situation in the world if Im ever faced with this weather the Sun is like proper kind of off-center Golden Hour here or its like straight up in the air if I have direct sunlight

The most basic of all photography rules, the rule of thirds, is all about dividing your shot into nine equal sections by a set of vertical and horizontal lines. With the imaginary frame in place, you should place the most important element(s) in your shot on one of the lines or where the lines meet.
The rule of four tells us that anyone buying a camera needs to budget four times the initial cost of anything bought. Furthermore, any memory card needs to contain four times as many photos as actually appreciated. And anything shall have to be done four times before getting it right.
The rule of thirds refers to dividing your image into three horizontal sections and three vertical sections. You should have two lines running top to bottom, and two lines running left to right. Take a look at where those lines intersect: you should place your main subject on one of those points.
For indoor weddings, try to keep ISO between 400-800 to achieve beautiful, grain-free portrait photos. If you go higher than that, you may get more digital noise (though, this depends on your camera, so try a few options).
5 Elements of Composition in Photography Avoid Too Much Negative Space. Negative, or empty, space is great for balancing your photo and emphasizing a focal point. Embrace Lines. Obey the Rule of Thirds. Create Depth With a Clear Foreground, Middleground, and Background.
What is the rule of thirds? The rule of thirds is a composition guideline that places your subject in the left or right third of an image, leaving the other two thirds more open. While there are other forms of composition, the rule of thirds generally leads to compelling and well-composed shots.
Simply put, open shade is an area that blocks direct sunlight but is still illuminated from the surrounding light. Learning how to utilize it will allow you to shoot almost anywhere at any time of the day.
