Removing the Entire Legend The most straightforward approach uses theme(legend. position = none). This command effectively tells ggplot2, I dont want any legends, thank you very much!
Color coding is a way to indicate the types of shapes quickly, which facilitates visual searching. With the color legend tool, you can quickly apply different color code to shapes in a diagram.
To remove the legend from our box plot with outliers in ggplot2 , we can add the guides() function and set fill = FALSE within it.
To change the default colors in the legend, use the values argument and supply a character vector of color names. The number of colors specified must be equal to the number of levels in the categorical variable mapped.
Finally, if you prefer removing the title of the legend just pass the elementblank function to the legend. title argument of theme .
In the drawing area, select the legend. Click Modify Color Fill Legends tab Scheme panel Edit Scheme. In the Edit Color Scheme dialog, select a different color scheme from the list, and click OK. You can also create a new color scheme in this dialog.
The default theme of a ggplot2 graph has a grey background color. You can easily and quickly change this to a white background color by using the theme functions, such as themebw() , themeclassic() , thememinimal() or themelight() (See ggplot2 themes gallery).
To remove a legend in ggplot2, you can set the `show. legend` argument to `FALSE` in the specific geom function or globally in the `theme()` function by using `theme(legend. position = none)`. This way, no legend will be included in your plot.
