hello my name is Josiah ray Im going to show you how to highlight and shade in Microsoft Paint the same way that you would inside of word so for example when a fire paint up and well select this text button here and the default color is black but we can change it to red just as easily and type our text and its a little bit small so let me zoom in for you and there you go weve got our text typed out and its got a totally different color but again once you let go of it you try to select it it its actually drawing a new text box so Im going to undo that to highlight it you actually have to put the highlight down first if you draw the text first and then try to highlight on top of it its actually going to fade out the text so lets say I draw some some black text here and then I come up to the Home tab and Im going to grab underneath brushes this highlighter thing and I kind of like red so thats a pretty good size and again Ill zoom in just a little bit and we draw over the top
