Just solid blue is just strictly squatting. The other one is a power bar which you can squat with thats 45 pounds. And you can also bend with it. Over here on the deadlift platform is strictly a red thing means a deadlift bar. If you do stiff bars and you put a power bar onto this.
The ages are: Sub-Junior: 14 to 18. Junior: 19 to 23, Master: 1 40 to 49, Master 2: 50 to 59, Master 3: 60 to 69, Master 4: 70 plus. The group missing from that list is the Open. Lifters of any age can enter the Open class, though it is usually just the 24 to 39 year old lifters that do so.
BLUE. SQUAT. Failure to assume an upright position with the knees locked at the commencement and at the completion of the lift. BENCH. Any downward movement of the whole of the bar in the course of being pressed out.
Im sure many of you who have seen a video of a powerlifting meet before have seen the three white or red lights that appear after a lift. These lights indicate a good lift (white lights) or not a good lift (red lights). In order for a lift to count, you must have 2 out of 3 white lights.
The lights are red and white and indicate whether the lift was valid or not. The white light means good lift while the red light means no lift. Each referee will make their judgment and all three lights will display the decision simultaneously.
At every competition, there will be three referees who collectively decide if the lift was good or bad. A white light is given for a good lift, where the lift is allowed to contribute to the total and a red light given for a bad lift, where the lift is not allowed to contribute to the total.
Elite lifters generally place very well at local level competitions and will usually hold their own at National level competitions. It is not uncommon for Elite level lifters to have 10+ years of experience with serious powerlifting training.
The lifting costume shall consist of a one-piece, full length lifting suit of one-ply stretch material without and patches or padding. A non-supportive weightlifting/wrestling-type suit is also a legal suit. The straps of the suit must be worn over the shoulders at all times while lifting in competition.
