When we click on the button for the advanced text effects, we will find a lot of options like shadowing, reflecting and so on. When we move the mouse over these effects, we can see a preview of the applied effect. Note, that we can access additional editing options for some effects if there is an options button at the bottom of the preview dropdown. So, I will walk you through adding and editing a shadow in this video, but of course you can apply this procedure for other effects. To add a shadow, we first choose a suitable shadow from the dropdown. But since this shadow is very basic, we will edit it by clicking on the additional options for the shadow. Do NOT indent paragraphs. This is a business format, not a personal letter format.
As with other professional documents, your letter of intent should have one-inch margins and font size 11 or 12. Its always important to review the programs application instructions to determine if there are any specific content or length requirements.
Use a font style that is simple, clear and commonplace, such as Times New Roman, Arial or Calibri. Font SIZES from 10-12 points are generally in the ballpark of looking appropriate.
Serif fonts Copperplate. Mafins. Monalisa. Helvetica. Univers. Futura. VAG Rounded. VAG Rounded is a modern geometric sans serif font family that comes in eight different styles. Calibri. Calibri is a digital sans serif typeface family in modern style.
Recommended serif fonts include Cambria, Georgia, and Times New Roman. Sans serif fonts dont have small strokes attached to their letters, giving them a cleaner and more modern style. Some recommended sans serif fonts include Arial, Calibri, and Verdana.
When the format is not specified for the LOI, assume 11-12 point font (Times New Roman) and 1 margins, single spaced. The LOI is, in many ways, a docHubly condensed full proposal.

Use block style (all lines aligned left) in a non-script, professional 12-point font. Double space between sections and paragraphs; single-space within paragraphs and sections.
