hello all you wonderful student artists uh today im going to show you how to take an image a very basic image and apply some lines throughout it to make it look like it is broken up or shattered and use some shading to help give it that extra effect of making it look like its a shattered image were going to do something really basic this is just a practice one before you get into your final drawing so what im going to have you do is take a ruler or a straight edge its okay if you dont have a ruler i know some of you dont have those at home so im just going to use the edge of this little notebook here and just make a square on my paper square rectangle you know as long as it has four sides straight lines so what im going to do is im going to use just a basic shape in this instance um im going to use a heart because its the first thing that came to mind so im going to put it right in the middle of this box here it doesnt have to be perfect its a little lopsided yeah its
