hello my name is annie campbell im a medical illustrator and animator and welcome back to this channel so today i wanted to give you a little glimpse into how i created this medical illustration of a kidney cross section and i hope you enjoy and that youre all taking care of yourselves so we have a process in how we approach our medical illustrations in our studio now the first step usually we start off with is a rough sketch here we figure out the composition the shape the form you know all the art fundamental stuff goes in here once thats been signed off by our clients or our art directors we then move on to doing the lovely line work that youll see in some of our illustrations after that we go into blocking out color and this is where we figure out what color combos work and also what planes are facing and light and planes are facing away from the light once thats been done we move on to the rendering process and we digitally paint and bring everything to life and add in the d
