hi im miss lavodi and in this video ill be showing you how to add graphite to your grid portrait this video is about 40 minutes worth of work condensed into two minutes based on your skill level you might need more than 40 minutes to draw and thats okay take your time since we have limited supplies all of the shading done in this video is done with a regular pencil a tissue and an eraser youre going to start by erasing away the grid lines from your grid portrait do this carefully so you dont crunch your paper up [Music] to start shading i begin with a patch of graphite on a separate sheet of paper i use a tissue or blending tool to lift this graphite up off the paper and apply it to areas of the face that have shadows so you can see what im doing here i have my patch of graphite ive wrapped my tissue around my finger ive made sure that im looking at my reference picture in black and white and im starting to apply the graphite softly to the skin areas that have some shadows i
