hey everyone lets work on shading today so today what youre gonna need is a ruler an eraser that pencil and your pencil sharpener for paper I like to use a 9 by 12 sketchbook 8 by 10 is fine but I wouldnt recommend going any smaller than that its great to keep all of this stuff in a sketchbook because youre going to use it for reference when youre drawing in other projects alright so the first thing were gonna work on is this kind of bar graph its a transition that shows you all of the value changes from white to the very darkest black pencil Im using is a 3b but if you have an HB pencil thats fine too you can do different graphs for different pencils so you can see what each of them with their individual ranges lets get started so lets draw out that bar if you have your ruler fast way to do this is just to trace that ruler this doesnt need to be perfect you just want to do it quick and then divide that up into sections so Im gonna do little rectangles Im not gonna coun
