Its the one weve all been waiting for!! SHADING! Stan Prokopenko here, youre watching proko. Form First lets talk about form, because form is what we are trying to indicate when we shade. In order to effectively shade form, you first need to understand the form youre shading. In the structure video I talked about the basic building blocks of form - spheres, cylinders and boxes. Organic forms found in nature, like humans, animals and trees could and should be constructed from these simple forms to capture the character of the subject. The primary form, such as a cylinder for an arm, should be dominant over any secondary forms, such as the bicep, tricep, deltoid, forearms muscles. And these secondary forms should be dominant over tertiary forms, like a vein or wrinkles. You dont necessarily have to draw them in that sequence, just make sure that your shading primarily reveals the largest forms, and the smaller forms act as details - icing on the cake. Word Click in the table, and then click the Table Move Handle to select the table. The Table Tools Design tab appears. Click Border Styles and choose a border style. Click Borders and choose where you want to add the borders.
To work with the borders of a table, select the table by clicking the Select Table icon at the upper-left corner of the table, or by clicking inside the table and typing Alt+NumPad5 on your keyboard.
Click the Shading tool in the Table Styles group. Word displays a drop-down palette of choices. Click the color and percentage you want used for the cell. The formatting is applied.
Go to Design Page Borders. In the Borders and Shading box, design your border: Under Setting on the left, choose the border style you want. If you want to remove a border, select None.
Click Page Layout tab. Go to Page background group. Click the Page Borders, you may see the Borders and Shading window popping up.
Apply shading to words or paragraphs Select the word or paragraph that you want to apply shading to. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the arrow next to Shading. Under Theme Colors, click the color that you want to use to shade your selection.
Go to Home Borders, and then open the menu of border choices.
Add shading to a table Select the cells you want to change. On the Table Tools Design tab (the Table Tools Layout tab in OneNote), click the Shading menu. Under Theme Colors or Standard Colors, select the shading color you want.
On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Shading, and then click the shading color you want to apply. You can also use this to add shading to a style.
On the Format or Shape Format tab, select Shape Fill (if youre coloring a shape) or Text Fill (if youre coloring text). Then select the Eyedropper option: Press and hold the mouse button. As you move your pointer around onscreen, a live preview of the color youre pointing at appears.
