hi everyone were going to work in our sketchbooks again and were going to do some shading now in previous videos we have done some cross hatching and hatching lines for shading and we have practiced making a value scale now today were going to blend or shade in a different way and youre going to get something round so if youre at home just try to find something thats small but round that you can trace because were going to be shading this circle and were going to make it appear more round like a ball just by the way we shade all right so the light source would be coming from this direction so the lights shining down here that means this side is going to be the shadow side or its going to be darker so i like to start here and im going to press firmly with my pencil and i need to go slow because i have to maintain that curved line so im going to shade in here nice and dark this is probably the hardest part because this is around something round that were going to be creating
