hey guys Scott Kelby here and I got a little cast shadow trick for just a simple little fun Photoshop trick and its so you get a more realistic shadow than you would if you went here and chose drop shadow so lets use drop shadow well you can see what happens you get this shadow that looks like your your around your billiard ball here is floating in space and so instead heres what were gonna do were going to duplicate the layer press command J on Mac or ctrl J on Windows to duplicate the layer were gonna fill just that layer with black so blacks are for a brown color were gonna fill this circle with black just a circle by pressing option command excuse me shift option delete on Mac shift alt ctrl on Windows and that fills it with black then were gonna go to free transform command T on Mac ctrl T on Windows and were gonna shrink it down so thats gonna be the size of our selection right now this really looks bad but itll get better lets hold the command key on Mac of the ctrl
