To find out what colour your car is, you need to track down your paint colour code. This can usually be found on a plate or sticker inside the drivers door or glovebox.
If obtaining a sample to color-match at your local paint store isnt an option, you can utilize the latest in color-matching apps to match your paint as closely as possible. Use a color-matching tool like the Nix Mini 2 or Datacolor ColorReader EZ.

It can usually be found on the door jam of your car. There should be a sticker telling you the color code of the car. If it is not there try looking on the windshield. From the outside on the bottom right of the door there should be a sticker there telling you the color code.
Your cars VIN gives you a lot of information about your vehicle, but it wont give you your paint code. So, where can you go to find automotive paint color? Most vehicles have paint codes listed inside the drivers door jamb.
No, the VIN number does not include the paint code. The paint code is sometimes printed near the VIN number, although you may need to look for it separately. Common paint code locations include the drivers side door jamb, in the boot and under the bonnet.
Locating Vehicles Colour Code This can likely be found next to the compliance plate; often located in the engine bay, on the firewall, or inside the door jams. Failing this, the colour code may sometimes be printed in the front of the owners manual.
Most vehicles have a vehicle information sticker that lists the VIN and the paint color code. Check the dashboard on the drivers side or the inside of the drivers side door jamb to find this sticker and check the color code. Other possible locations for this sticker include: On the passenger side door jamb.
